A big thank you to everyone who made it to round 2 of our Clubman series. It was another great turnout with 25 drivers in total, 12 of them from the Clubman-E class. It was a fantastic meeting with plenty of laughs and racing action.

Congratulations to our finals winners: Dave Underwood, Leigh Gratton-Smith, Richard Wheeler, Dave Hanson and Steve Baggley.

In the Clubman 2 series all the finals were action packed as everyone fought for precious points and chocolate. The C final was a reliability test with  Leigh Gratton-Smith winning the battle and the final. The B final was much more action packed with Keith Hardiman and Richard Wheeler trading places throughout the race. Both had their share of bad luck and both had the pace to win. Coming into the last minute it was Wheeler would found the luck and pace to win the chocolate.

The A final was definitly filled with a lot of fireworks, all 5 finalists got a share of leading the race. Craig Johnson was the early leader with Ryan Keeton and Phil Roberts magnetised together in a battle for second. Johnson suffered bodyshell problems starting a fun game of musical cars. Keeton and Roberts were producing similar lap times but with very different styles. Roberts the cleaner driver but suffering from understeer, Keeton was pretty much the opposite. It was pole sitter Dave Hanson who seemed to have the more balanced setup and in the final quarter of the race took back control and on to victory. Roberts and Keeton completed the podium.

The other finals were just as entertaining, especially the Fun M Chassis final which featured an 8 car grid. It's great to see so many racers completing so closely and in such a friendly manor. It's also great to most of the field improving in technique with the level playing field of the 27t motors.

There will now be a break from the championship over the Easter weekend. We will still be racing though on Easter Monday. We have a fun meeting planned for the occasion we hope you all will enjoy. More details on that will be published in the next few days. The Clubman 2 series will continue on the 24th April. Steve Baggley and Dave Hanson have the most wins and will be the drivers forced to run the handicap tyre at Round 3. With 2 strong finishes Dave Hanson leads the overall championship.
