On Monday 31 July, the Clubman will return to the Eckington Civic Raceway for its third action pack series! This time it will include an exciting support class of 225mm M Chassis cars.

There are no major changes to the rules for season 3, only minor tweaks. The main one will be a RRP focused limit to the chassis rule. The events team are going to be more strict on the reversing rule this season along with checking shell and chassis ride heights. There will also be spot checks on cars before the finals to really heat up the pressure on rules. The series will once again feature the handicap tyres which are both loved and hated by racers.

The support class will be the popular M chassis racing that has been growing in numbers over the past few months. Ambassador Michael Royston wants it to be a visually epic and is only allowing one body shell design. The grid is going to look epic with the Race Mini body set they will all have to race.

Both classes will run the Core-RC 27t motor and Hobbywing 1060 ESC. This combination lead to some really competitive racing at the club. The motor is the perfect speed for the Eckington track without getting to hot when geared correctly. The ESC is a very well established ESC and doesn’t offer anyone an excuse for reversing on track.

There will be 6 rounds to the series with racers best 4 rounds counting towards their championship. The series will start on 31 July with the first two rounds, it will then have a break for the usually bank holiday fun meeting on the 28 August. The final four meetings will follow and decide the championship.
