Friday night racing at Killamarsh Active is one of the highlights of the local RC racing scene. Held bi-weekly, these meetings attract some of the best Touring Car racers from South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. The venue is widely regarded as one of the best temporary indoor tracks in the country and has hosted several successful national events, drawing over 100 racers at a time.
On a typical club night, we welcome around 30-40 racers, creating a lively but friendly atmosphere. Every car is checked by our scrutineering team before hitting the track, ensuring no damage will occur to the track and that the meeting runs smoothly.
Our 1:10 Touring Car track layout is designed to be fast and flowing, making for thrilling racing action. To minimise car damage, we use flexible corner markers, and the 4m wide carpets provide excellent grip with fewer tape lines. Each meeting includes three rounds of qualifying, followed by a Final. The Finals are often accompanied by commentary from a race official, ensuring fairness and adding to the excitement.
These club nights are open to all BRCA members and cater to racers of all abilities. However, as the competition level is generally high, we recommend beginner racers check out our other venue at Eckington, which offers a more relaxed and beginner-friendly experience.
