For the third instalment of the Clubman series, we had an idea for an additional challenge with great purpose behind it. The Club would like to run a challenge that will collect donations for Ashgate Hospice, Old Brampton, Chesterfield.

The Hospice means so much to a lot of people in the area around both of our clubs. They offer free-of-charge palliative care and end-of-life support to adults in the local area. As most Hospices are not part of the NHS, they survive on income from charity shops, fundraisers, and kind donations. All Hospices need our support and Ashgate is one of those special places that deserve it.

So how can you help?

We want Club Racers, friends and family to donate what they can through our  ‘just giving’ page. For those who contribute to the project we are running a competition they can enter. The competition is a simple one, just guess how many points you think our Project Ashgate car can collect over the season. Our Project driver is Steve Baggley. We are entering him into the "Clubman Mini-E Challenge" but with something a little different.  While most of the field will be racing the favourite FWD Tamiya M07 chassis, we are sending Steve out with a RWD Tamiya M08 to make for an entertaining race. The M08 should be a very competitive car in the class, it just might need a little more work than the M07. The question is, how well can it do?

The prize** for guessing the correct amount of championship points will be the Tamiya M08 chassis that was run in the series!

Competition entry closes at 6PM on 11 September 2023

To enter we are asking that you donate at least £10 via the ‘just giving’ page. Then predict how many points you think Project Ashgate can collect over the 6 rounds. Available predictions can be found below. Please post your prediction in the donation comments or contact the Sheffield RC Team. We are going to limit the entries to one per person, but if you want to donate more we'll happily class you as a sponsor. Donations of over £20 can name a business (Real or fictitious… yes, you're welcome to have fun with it) as a sponsor of the project.
