So the dust has settled on another great Friday Power League... But who were the winners? Lets start with the main championships before we look at the promotions and demotions in the F Leagues.

Clubman-K Championship

The support championship was full of action and entertainment this season. The early rounds were dominated by the Father-Son team of Michael and George Royston. The pair were also proving that you didn't need 4WD to win, the FF03 and M07 were unstoppable until round 5. Ryan Keeton had a great win on round 5 but the only real challenger to the Roystons was Lee Dyson. His championship started slowly but quickly found traction at round 3 where he took his first of two victories. His second on the final round was enough to sneak past Michael for the runner up spot. But no one could catch George to stop him taking his first FPL title.

STOCK TC 17.5

There was a lot of chatter about the new motor rules going into this new FPL season. A lot were hoping it would make the racing closer and maybe provide a new champion. However, Ricky Lee quickly silenced any critics with a dominant display in the opening round. For round two he didn't take it as serious as the first and allowed the fast Mugens of Jay Kay and David Underwood to steal points. On the third round, it was Archie Underwood who drove the wheels off his XRAY to take a great TQ. But the results returned to normal for rounds 4 and 5 giving Lee his fifth consecutive FPL title. Jay Kay had a fantastic season to finish in the runners up spot with Dave Underwood completing the podium.

The TC F Leagues

F1 Elite

f leagues resultsWith Ricky Lee taking the main championship, this also gave him the Elite title..... Yeah. So all eyes were towards the bottom of the table and who would be making space for a new elitist next season. In the early stages it looked like it might have been a battle between Archie Underwood and Matt Hipwell, but they were both saved by Dave Sedgwicks poor attendance.

F2 Racer

The Racer league was meant to be the closest of all the leagues, James Herring had other ideas though. By round 4 he had secured promotion and finished the season with a perfect score. At the bottom of the table was Tom Berry who had a disastrous series and will be hoping for better luck with a new car.

F3 Challenger

This was the closest table of the league. Joe Gaimster was the fastest in qualifying for the first four rounds, however he only managed to convert two of them into wins. Everyone else in the table had at least one good race but it was Gaimster's TQ'ing and consistency that claimed him promotion. Lewis Barker had a great finish to the season but his poor attendance will force him into the F4 league.

F4 Development

The wildcard league had some interesting entries throughout the season, but Jason Kahler was the strongest racer to gain a deserved promotion. He should be a good contender in the F3 table.

Season 6

Season 5 of the FPL has once again been a big success. The new 17.5 rules have taken a little getting used to but they seem right from the current indoor TC formats. The Clubman class has had it's best season yet and we hope that it continues to grow. Season 6 will start in the new year with a similar rule set to this one, we will be discussing possible changes in the next few weeks.
