On Monday it will be Round 5 of the Clubman 4 series. Before the action starts on Monday we thought we'd give you a few updates on the series and how the classes are shaping up for the final 2 rounds.

Booking in is already open so please make sure you are on the following list If you are planning to attend: https://www.sheffieldrcracing.co.uk/index.php/booking-in-2/new-entry-list-2

Additional Scrutineering Checks

We would like to announce that there will be additional scrutineering checks for the final two meetings. The work Keith and Dave are doing is amazing in protecting the club carpets along with helping a lot of the racers to go better with their setups. The additional checks will be before the finals to ensure everyone is following the rules. This has been requested by a few racers from both the Clubman-E and Mini-E classes.

Tom Berry and Michael Royston will be completing the checks and randomly picking racers as they prepare for their finals. They will be focusing on ride heights, battery voltage and motor tampering. If you have any queries regarding the rules please check the official rules post or contact one of the SRC team.

Championship Updates

Here is how the series is looking after 4 rounds.
https://rc-results.com/Viewer/Main/Listing?listingId=58168

Clubman-E

The Clubman class has already been wrapped up by reigning champion Ryan Keeton. Keeton has been on fire the whole season, the early rounds were very close in qualifying but Keeton was on point in the finals to take maximum points. Second in the championship is Stephen Baggley with a 6 point lead over Chris Sale in third. Sale still has a mathematical chance of taking 2nd in the championship but he will need wins in the final rounds. This is the same for Richard Wheeler although he will need Baggley and Sale to have low scores.

Mini-E

The Mini-E series is a lot closer for the title with the top 5 all having a good chance at taking the honours. The Current favourite is Dave Sedgewick with two wins to his name. Rob Fox is currently leading with consistency, however he is still missing a victory to his score. Lee Carter and Eugene Galley are looking very fast and are still getting to grips with the class. Joshua Rose and David Underwood have been very unlucky and will no doubt be trying to find some more points in the last two rounds. The final two meetings will be full of action and not to be missed.

Clubman-E Team

The new Team championship has been a lot closer than it looks on the tables. Team Smoking Esc's are leading the way because both racers have consistently made it into the A finals. Had one of them failed a few times it would be a very different series. There is a very close battle between Team Socks and Type SS Racing for second in both the table and on track. Team Grumpy are also looking a lot faster in the last few rounds, if they were running the same body then they would also be fighting for the runner up spot.
