On Monday we will be giving prizes out to this seasons winners. It's been a fantastic season of the Clubman series with plenty of racing action and some surprise race winners. The Mini-E class has been catching all of attention with the forced body rule, it was great to see so much effort with the liveries.
The Friday Power League is finally here and will start at the next meeting. This will be the 5th instalment of the league which was last run before our long closure during lockdown.
On the 14th August it was Round 2 of the Clubman 3 series, for this round the Project Ashgate car had a more challenging outing. In this update I'll go through why some heats are better than others for qualifying and how to handle it when making changes to your setup gives a different outcome to what you expected.
Round 2 was another sell out meeting with plenty of hopefuls ready to race for glory…. And chocolate. We had the usual ugly mugs in Mini-E but the Clubman-E class had a few extra title favourites. The new track layout was a little more technical with a few scary chicanes.
On Monday 31 July the Project Ashgate car completed Round 1 of the Clubman 3 series with surprisingly good results. In this update I'm going to go through how the car performed, what changes I made throughout the meeting and what the plans are for round 2.
